Item not received, payment taken fraudulantly

Looking for advice - 

I bought 2 loungers from a seller on 31st May 2020

I got an email from Ebay saying that the sellers account may have been compromised.

I tried to cancel the payment and could not.

The money was taken from my account on 3rd June 2020.

I cannot get anywhere with a complaint to ebay because the listing and seller have been removed.

I wish it were that easy ! Sadly I can't as the item has been pulled and the seller has disappeared. When I try to open a case Ebay keeps saying that there is no such item or seller. At a loss as to what to do 😞

Actually this is what it says when I try to 'contact seller' or find the item .... "We looked everywhere.

Go to paypal, find the payment & open case from there, escalate after 2 days.

Thank you - I have just done that.
eBay sure don't make it easy to contact them 😞
