Am I alone or is there a PANDEMIC on ebay of people buying items and then failing to pay for them. It is wasting my time and effort doing good listings only for some idiots to press the buy button then walk away and ignore emails and invoices.
ITS TIME THAT EBAY STARTED TO CRACK DOWN ON THESE IDIOTS, maybe get a 'fine' or similar which could be automatically be taken from the likes of paypal accounts
your thoughts please....
You haven't told us what you do when buyers don't pay?
What sellers should do is to open an unpaid item case. You can open it any time between 2 and 32 days after the listing ends, and close it after four days if they haven't paid. For details, see: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/unpaid-items.html
Your final value fee (but no other fees) will then be credited back to your account and you can safely relist the item, or make a second chance offer. The buyer will receive an unpaid item strike from eBay, which will stay on their account for a year. Two strikes would mean that most sellers ban them from bidding. Neither party can leave feedback, and any already left can be removed.
One reason why there are so many non-payers is that soo many sellers don't bother to do this.
