RETURN CLOSED BY EBAY

I purchased a pair of shoes listed as size 6, however they were actually a size 6.5 or 7 and did not fit me.  I began a return using reason 'doesn't fit' and explained they were incorrectly described.  To my great surprise eBay immediately closed the return in favour of the seller.  Yet only 2 days previously a buyer had put in a return to me using reason 'doesn't fit' even though the item was correctly labelled; eBay had closed the return in the buyer's favour and I was happy to accept the return.

Now I am left very puzzled why I am left with a pair of shoes incorrectly described as to size and eBay have favoured the seller!  I have tried to appeal against the decision but am just told the return has closed and nothing more to be done except 'contact the seller' to try and sort matters.  It all seems very unfair.

Has anyone else had this experience?

'doesn't fit'  is a change of mind case and the seller does not have to accept the return, you should have opened a not as described case.

You might be able to open a correct case with PayPal, but sign up to their free returns first.
