RE managed pyaments increased fees-small sellers

Hello community

How are the smaller craft shops coping with the ebay increases of fees with the managed payments?

having done the costing and realised ebay now charge 12.9% fees on craft items and postage which is nearly 15% fees plus the 30p on every order, for single orders the costs of the sale are now £1.75(inc p&P) for a 2.25 order plus 1.00 postage.(this leaves 1.50 profit inculding cost of goods) .

I think we may well see smaller shops disappear.

I am updating listings to sell in larger quanity to recover some costs and encouraging discounts on mutli-buys...

any thoughts or ideas would be most appreciated?

As the fees are basically the same as Paypal fees then unless you were using Paypal micropayments then there should be little or no differenvce to your monthly combined fee total from when payong eBay & Paypal individually

Hello and thank you. Yes you are right but Ebay are now charging the 12.99% fees on the postage costs as well, which makes it about 15% fees and this is higher. and makes a diffrence on smaller sales.
