Puzzled?

I placed a maximum bid on an item with no other bids on and at 0.99, I was the highest bidder.

I did win the item but the amount had gone to my maximum bid.

Bid history showed no bidders at all.(0)

How did this happen.?

I hope someone can explain because this incident will now stop me leaving a maximum bid on anything until I understand.

was there a reserve?

if not, click on the bid number to open the bid history page to see if there was a bid retraction.

No, no reserve.
Bid history shows 0 bidders.

click on the number of bids it will show 1 bid because you bid!

this opens the bid history page, if you are unable to do this give us the item number and we will take a look.

Hi, Just checked again and bid history now shows 2 bids occurred magically. which did not show after auction.....oh well.......Ebay must be slow to catch up?
