Purchase Price is different from what I bidded

Hi,

I recently bidded for an item;

The seller had previously had it on reserve, but I saw no reserve on the listing. He was still under the impression that it was. The reserve was £120. I won the auction for £102 plus £9.02 shipping. When I went to check-out the total amount was £133.02. I contacted the seller. He said he would re-list at the price I bought it for; £111.02 including postage. I went to buy it and again checkout said £133.02. So, we are in a stalemate now. Both of us have 100% ratings for buying and selling.

Can anyone help?

As you are in UK and the seller is in Jersey the extra is VAT

I am, but the seller didn't indicate any additional charges including VAT. Since the purchase I then got an extra BIN offer in US dollars!? Since then I have tried to message the seller, but I am getting all kind of weird warnings on my PC. I no longer have any faith in the seller. Most of the communication is in 'text speak'. My computer also froze not long after the last contact and that could be a coincidence...but, I clicked on a photo of the product posted by him, so took no chances. I had to shut off all my internet and disconnect everything. Could all be innocent, but too many coincidences and it seems a bit sketchy to me now.

I have screen prints of the listing and the bought price as well. None indicate additional VAT. When I bought the product at £111.02 including postage, when I went to Checkout it said, '£133.02. As stated previously, there was no mention of tax on the listing. The seller seemed none the wiser either.

ebay adds the VAT it has nothing to do with the seller
