Promised a refund and have not received

I purchased an item back in December, when this item arrived it was faulty, damaged and not as described. I contacted the seller and was promised a refund. They are now ignoring my messages and I accidentally requested a return which they declined so now I am unsure how I can contact eBay about them as it keeps saying I have a return in progress when I don't. The seller has ignored my messages and made me wait this long saying that they are on holiday and will action on return (they returned on the 20th feb) how can I contact eBay about this please

Same as in all walks of life,  a promise given by a seller can be broken,  Refunds can only be enforced if you follow the rules and open the relevant case within the relevant deadlines.

 

The seller has fobbed you off  with delaying tactics so you are now well out of time to claim with eBay.

For future read their 30 day MBG written on every listing to guarantee a refund for all such cases.

 

Caim now with Paypal for item not as described,  and escalate the case after 2 days and before 20.

 

Do not close the case  early,  and do not forget to escalate.

 

Here you have to pay for the fully tracked postage of the item,  unless you sign up to Paypal's free returns on postge.
