Problems with eBay gift Cards

Annyone knows why I cant pay with eBay gift cards? 

They are activaded and have the funds and I add them to want what I will buy but it saids "Check your payment detaills or pay with other way" Why? I buy something with an eBay gift card that I had already use and only had less funds but it didnt do this

Puerto Rico/USA registered account and eBay gift cards are only issued to, and for use on the US > ebay.com < site only ... this is the UK site where they cannot be accepted or used for payments/part payments.

As pointed out eBay gift cards are not valid in the UK or on the UK site
