Previous purchases from years back

Hi, had some tools stolen which I had purchased quite a few years ago. My insurance company is now asking for invoices for the items, however as they were second hand the only evidence I would have is the eBay transaction details. How do I go about obtaining the relevant information? Thanks for your help,

I always thought insurance companies went off the cost to replace rather than how much things cost when purchased, I mean, who keeps receipts from years ago for second hand goods?

Anyway you won't get them from ebay as their records will be deleted now, but you could try looking at your Paypal archive payments if you paid that way. Or go though your feedback and find the seller, who may be able to help you.

They do if you have an old for new policy which costs a bit more. Not all policies are old for new 😞

richderhan it may be worth having a word with your bank as some keep records of your bank transactions for up to 7 years. Obv that wont work if you paid cash on collection etc
