Possible scam..?

I ordered 2 pairs of new shoes a few weeks ago from a seller who has now unregistered from eBay. They claimed they had been dispatched, though as it has been what seems to be quite a while I checked the tracking number the seller provided with Royal Mail and they still haven't recieved the packages from the seller. Should I be worried and what's the best course of action to take?

How long ago is important as you have 30 days to open a dispute

You never let things go as you could lose your money

Ebay will have removed them for some reason the seller can not do that themselves

You should have received an email telling you that your items may still arrive and what to do if they dont but you have to be in time

Thank you. I have started the process with eBay and raised a dispute with PayPal.

You really should not open disputes on both sites. You use ebay first if you can and then paypal.. Too late now if you have already opened them so don't close one just wait and see how it goes.

Update - After PayPal contacted him he finally started a dispatch. However, only one pair of shoes turned up and he tried to claim that the package with two pairs had been delivered on the same tracking number. Luckily, I kept all the proof of the parcel details, size, weight, contents, etc, and it looks like PayPal are going to rule in my favour on the dispute. Never fails to shock me what these scammers will try. And thanks for the info Redwick, eBay automatically let PayPal deal with it as I opened a case with both. I wasn't aware of how it worked at the time, so thank you 🙂
