I had an item delivered to the post-room at our complex, I have used it for 20 years and found them to be reliable. The item was delivered , but I could not find it. I asked the seller for proof of delivery, I got Hermes consignment number and a picture of 4 parcels, one circled. Sadly it was not possible to read the consignment number or addressee from the photo. The photo proved useful in finding the parcel (colour and size) but the post room manager didn't feel it constituted PROOF of delivery. It could have been a picture of ANY parcel.
Sadly the seller grew impatient with the search process and asked Ebay to adjudicate, which they did and almost immediately, without asking me for any input, agreed with the seller and sent me an email closing the matter.
Whist in this case, I found the goods and they had been delivered , I find the burden of proof so low and the adjudication process so poor, for what was an item valued at about £400 that I shall stop using ebay for good over about £50
Seller proved delivery to address you supplied, they can't be blamed if your post room lose it after that.
What is the point of tracking if no one believes it.
