Poor communication from Ebay, re delivery!

Why, on repeated times, do ebay fail with delivery dates and communicating re? I bought an item, due for delivery on 6/7/21. No messages came from Ebay, and I needed a bar-code delivery email, to confirm item was delivered . 

 

On messaging seller previous times and  last-night,  he confirmed package was sent, with postage/tracking numbers.

 

I went down to my collection point today, and my parcel was there. Why can't ebay send the relevant emails, as there supposed to?
