Please Advise: Managed Payments: Are payments put on hold until the item is posted ??

Hi,  Please advise:  Ref: Managed Payments : Are payments put on hold / not sent to bank account UNTIL the item is posted or marked as dispatched ?

if this is he case what is the purpose of the 'dispatch' time feature ? or is that just an easy way of telling ebay that they can hold your money until the item is posted ?

I haven't read any where in the Ebay Managed Payment Policy that the sold item HAS to be dispatched BEFORE they release funds but now I am presuming that this IS the case .. ??

Please help. Thank you again

no payments aren't 'held' in that way, they are only 'held' if you are subject to the new/returning seller hold of up to 21 days

when the buyer pays you are notified and told to post by your stated post date (this is based on the handling time you have set)

the payment is then 'processed' by Adyen who take the fees you owe ebay and pay the rest into your bank,

this 'processing' can take up to 48 hours,

once your bank receives the money they then start their 'processing' of the payment, this can take up to 4 days

When the item is sold then ebay send you a message to say paid and to post.

Ebay take off the fees and put the remainder in to your bank

It can take several days depending on what you chose as payment dates

IF you chose daily or weekly
