Play Money.....Listing removed - Help

Hi, had a message last night to say my play money listing has been removed due to Replica coins and currency policy.

My item is from a know toys company and i buy direct, and 100's of sellers are selling the same item with same EAN Code etc My buyers are literially parents who buy these for presents or teach they kids how to process money etc

I've rang ebay - not much help apart from saying all the others will be removed as well as part of there checks and  checks are done in batches - I re-iterated to them surely if there was anything wrong with the particular item some buyers have had it listed for 5+ years , ebay would have already taken action if there was an issue with this item - so why mine in particular has been removed - anaswer as i'm a top seller - i had to point out others are bigger sellers than me! so very much top rated sellers!

I've appealed it but i dont hold much hold. I know have 100's of this item i can't sell, which i believe has been wronglt removed.

I've read their policies and always adhere to it...fustrated as hell....anyone had issue of removed items and successfully reversed?

Like so many other sellers whose items are removed, you haven't told us why you don't feel that eBay's policy covers the items that were removed. See: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/replica-coins-currency-policy?id=50...

If you can show that eBay applied this policy incorrectly you can appeal, as you have done. Otherwise, it may be frustrating that others sellers are listing the same items, but it is irrelevant. It's like complaining that other drivers were also speeding, but only you were caught! Your listing was reported, theirs may not have been - yet.

I'm puzzled by eBay's comment that they're removing these items in batches. It's rare for eBay to remove items proactively; usually it's only the actual listing or listings that are reported. The reason may lie in the explanation given for this policy, to "help sellers and buyers follow government regulations". What eBay means by this is to avoid trouble for itself from hosting listings for items which may be illegal. It could be that fake currency has now joined weapons as one of the very few classes of item which eBay appears sometimes to remove proactively.

Your items have been reported.

If ebay say you can not sell them then that is usually the end of it

Just because others are on site does not mean they are allowed

The others just have not been reported yet or on a site where they are allowed

Do not relist as if removed again ebay will take stronger action and may remove you

Ebay are not very consistant with their policies, it is just as likely that your listing was reported by a competitor.

If it was ebay robots they would all be picked up and removed, so most likely human intervention by someone at ebay who has the ability to remove items but not the commonsense to realise that removal is foolish.
