Personalise with eBay

Has anyone tried to implement this on an existing listing? I have tried and it doesn't seem to work for me. I add the "item specific" of "Personalise" and nothing changes - TIA

Like you I have been unable to get the personalisation box to show,it should look like this below but I can only get personalisation instructions in item specifics

what exactly do you expect to happen?

item specifics just state what you are offering on your listing

they don't provide an option to personalise anything

I had an email from eBay saying they offer a new feature - it says We’re improving the experience so that your customers can add their personalisation on the View Item page of your listings in certain categories, which can then be sent to you using the “message to seller” option.

I would rally like to use this, as a lot of my listings can be personalised and I like the idea of a "personalisation box" on my listings

The message states: To set up your personalised listings, you’ll need to take the following action: 1. Add the “Personalise” item specific to your relevant listings 2. Provide personalisation instructions for your customers 3. Turn on the “message to seller” option

sorry, can't see anything different on your listing, you haven't added any instructions on the personalisation offered, maybe you need to add that

The problem is that I can't see how do do 2 or 3, was just wondering if anyone else had any advice on how to do that.

I have followed the instructions, in fact this is pretty much what I have been doing so unfortunately it doesn't work for me. the new item specific is not popping up. That may be because we previously turned "Personalise" on for your listings (before this change) - I am guessing we need to remove this but I can't see how to remove an "Item specific"

I can understand why you might want to Personalise, but I don't think is is appropriate for "Item Specifics".

Item Specifics is more an extension of Description whereas "Personalise" would be a Variation. I think it can only be covered in Description, but from the many complaints buyers are not very good at providing details required, but still expect to receive item yesterday.
