Payment to seller been showing as pending for days

I paid for an intem quickly as I normally do. However, the payment has been showing as pending for a few days. I contacted the seller and she said everything seemed to be o.k. at her end. It's the first item she's sold. Any suggestions as to what the problem is? Thanks.

I'm new to this and can't quite work out how to respond to answer received but I'll try here ............... Thank you for the answer suggesting that I explain to the seller that she needs to manually claim her first payment within her Paypal account or else she will not receive it? I'm not sure how I go about explaining this to her, as I never had to do anything like this when I started selling. I've been on the ebay live chat and they couldn't suggest anything, other than mention that she may be having problems with her PayPal account. PayPal have ignored my messages. I don't want to see anyone out of pocket!
