Hi! If anyone can help I would be grateful.
I have purchased 2 items from a seller. PayPal says that the payment is still pending and waiting for the EBay seller to set up a PayPal account. On looking at the seller's feedback, it appears this has happened before with this seller and they have 1000s of feedbacks (so they do know how to use EBay and link to PayPal). I can't think how they have done this or why (the only thing I can think of is that they didn't get the price they wanted...but is it really that easy to switch off a PayPal linked email as and when a seller wants?). I have also noticed that many negative feedbacks say that the seller doesn't respond to messages (I have messaged them and provided a screenshot of the PayPal message about them needing to create a PayPal account). I really want the items so have won but suspect that the transaction will be cancelled by the seller, or will just time out in a month).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
If the payment is pending is the option then to cancel the payment
That would be the best thing to do.
You will be reminded by ebay to pay and then could try again through the link ebay give
You need to be careful as ebay have a new non payment function and if payment is not showing then
ebay will message reminders and the seller or ebay can close the non payment after a full 4 days
If you get reminders you will need to contact ebay and tell them that the seller is not accepting your payment
I am not sure but if they do realise then you will get reminders
You will get them straight away as the if it was classed as non payment then
it goes on for 4 days and then it can be cancelled
Not sure how many reminders they send
I would not worry too much
Better to be safe with your money.
