Parcel gets lost in transit

Hi I recently sent a Parcel to Germany via a trackable delivery system which seems to have gone missing. Do I have to refund the buyer and claim the amount from the courier company or does ebay refund it from my PayPal account.

If the item was sold via the global shipping program and you sent the item to the Derby hub then once received there, Pitney Bowes are liable for loss or damage in international transit.  If this applies to your transaction then what the buyer needs to do open a case for item not received; you then enter the tracking number for the delivery to Derby and state that you are not responsible for gsp items that are lost by Pitney Bowes.

If the item was sold normally then when the buyer opens the case, you respond with the tracking number and, if you have it, the date on which the item was delivered to the buyer.  You would have to prove delivery to win the case.
