Organise watched items into custom lists

So, I have tagged several watched items in a custom list but can find no way to retrieve them!
Help does not even mention custom lists.
How can I use the custom list thing please?

Your saved lists are quite well hidden now.

Go onto your Watch list page,  and to the right of Watch list click on the downward arrow.

If you cannot do this on that useless ebay app,  you may need to switch to a laptop / PC / browser to manage this.

I only use my phone to bid when I'm out. Everything else I do from home on my PC.
I tried what you say but the dropdown arrow just shows thumbnails of all the items in my watch list, no more, no less.
I have Set up custom lists in the past to put in ideas for Xmas pressies without other members of the family seeing them. They were just in the custom list and didn't show up on the main watching list/page.
Is it not possible to still do something like this, please?
