Non paying buyers

Hi. Can someone explain why are sellers not allowed to leave a negative feedback for buyers that don't pay? If I read those buyers feedback, I can see that other sellers have been scammed, but yet the feedback come as positive, which results in the buyer actually having a 100% feedback when in actual fact they have scammed others before and EBAY allows this to happen.

This stopped about 12 years ago becasue it became tit for tat,  and worse still some sellers were holding buyers to ransom ,  for not changing  deserved feedbacks.

May I give you this example.

Leaving a negative for a buyer ,  a policy violation ,  how would that help the majority of sellers who list their items as Buy it Nows?

There  would be not time to read your warning negative feedback,  and leave free,   that buyer to come buy  and not pay ... Again.

Far better to use the tools that eBay provide,  that is ,  open that unpaid item case close it on day 5,  seller fees are refunded and buyer geys a non payment strike,  If they gain another,  they will not be able to buy from the majority of sellers on eBay for a full 12 months.

Far more effective.

It isn't scamming, it is being a non payer.

If you get a non payer you should open a non payment dispute, close it after 4 days with no payment. You get your selling fees back and buyer gets a non payment strike.

No one can leave feedback.

Sellers have not been able to leave negative feedback for buyers for over 10 years, and leaving a silly comment in a green dot like all thse other sellers have done is pretty pointless as you have found.

If, instead a couple of those sellers had completed a non payment case they'd have had 2 strikes and been unable to buy from sellers who set their buyer preferences to block Buyers with 2 or more strikes.

''.... and EBAY allows this to happen.'' ...

No they don't ! ... only Sellers who continue to leave useless Positive feedback with Negative comments allow this to happen instead of opening Unpaid cases 48 hours after a sale ends and close as Unpaid on day 5 afterwards to recover their selling fees ... buyer gets an account strike/defect and no damaging Feedback can be left ... 2 strikes will restrict further buying activity ... it does work !. >
