Hi I was wondering if anyone has any advice. I sold an item of furniture about 3 weeks ago, it has all been paid for but has still not been collected. I contacted the buyer and he said he was away for a week so I expected to hear from him on his return. I sent 2 messages within the second week to which he eventually replied that he would possibly collect the following Wednesday and would contact me on the Tuesday. I had to reply that I would be working then and sent a list of times that I would be available. I have had no further contact since then and next week will be the 4th wee since it was sold.
What do I do, any constructive advice welcome.
thanks Tracy.
Set a deadline say 7 days, or in view of the time already wasted, perhaps 3 days, for collection otherwise the sale will be cancelled.
If it has to be cancelled then use "Problem with buyers address" asthe reason, and refund will be made and you will get the selling fee (except for the fixed 30p) refunded.
You can then relist. If this happens add this buyer to your Blocked bidders List, you don't want himto buy again.
Once 30 days are up he would be outside the time for opening a Not Received Case.
You can either just wait of contact them and ask them if they wish to cancel
If they agree to cancel then you chose buyer requests to cancel and you get your fees back
If you wait then it is quite an espensive item you would think they will come for it sooner or later.
I find collection items problematic when it comes to arranging times for collecting but it usually works out. m(or has done for me)
