Non UK citizen living in UK, eBay asking for social security number/ITIN to list items to sell

Hi,

I'm not a UK citizen but living in UK on work permit. I was able to buy items without any problem. But when I try to create listing to sell its asking me to fill some details and I get to this screen.

The URL is onboardweb.ebay.com which means it redirected to .com website and not in co.uk domain.

Isn't social security number and ITIN given to people in USA? I have BRP and National Insurance numbers, should I just enter those? What can I do?

ITIN ... ' An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number is a United States tax processing number issued by the Internal Revenue Service.'

Your account is USA > ebay.com < registered ... try supplying the information requested through the US site ... or do you have a UK Social Security Number which is/will be acceptable ??.

Does that means that even if change the country it will still consider my account as US account? Do I have to create new account in co.uk then I'll loose the feedback I got 😞

No ... You can change your Country of Registration from the USA to the UK site by requesting it be transferred by contacting Customer Services by Phone or Chat > https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/home ... you can again transfer account back to the States whenever necessary.
