New ebay account after bidding and paying asks for refund ..Con ?

Hi all,

                had an item sell on buy now from a brand new account opened today, user idea is number and letters. He has now asked for a refund , smells of some kind of con but not sure. Also refud about if i go to cancel is a bit more than i made when i look at the sale after fees. Should i wait until it is process or issue a cancel on the sale ? im not sure where to go on this as doesnt feel right and i dont what to lose money if its a con. thanks in advance.

Ebay have said its ok to cancel but when i did this it tried to draw funds from my bank as i didnt have enough on ebay!! This is what i sked about and was told it would take from the processing amount, this was BS luckly i havent set up my bank to pay out to ebay so it failed , if i hadnt i would be donw £40 and if the processing money fails i would lose £40. Its sad ebay help dont even know how their own system works so be warned let any processing clear or you could be out of pocket.
