New Selling Payment scheme

I'm not signing up for the new payment scheme because:

1. I'm not giving eBay direct link to by bank details or declaring my bank to eBay.

2. Now I have to post the item before receiving payment or wait 2 days at least before money cleared in bank? With PayPal it was almost instant payment.

That is totally your decision. You are only being asked to supply the same Bank Details which you gave to PayPal. You could open another Current Account and just use that for your Ebay Payments. Keep it separate from your Day to Day Banking.
