Mystery code included in addresses

Hi, please can someone help explain why when I receive purchased items on eBay, there is a random code included as part of my address? Also, when I create an eBay label when dispatching a sold item, a similar code is also included in the recipient’s address. It is certainly not part of the official Royal Mail address and I want to remove it, but naturally would like to know the reason behind it. Thank you for your help as I haven’t been able to find any reference to this so far.

Its ebay's VTN,virtual (postal) tracking numbers for sellers mainly and can help in avoiding claims of none receipt, while making sellers exempt from late delivery defects.

Its none compulsory,so you can post out without the digits as normal

It is in the announcements somewhere

Ebay add if for when a seller buys ebay postage.

It is when you buy ebay postage

If you dont do that then just delete it
