Maximum bids

Hi how do I increase my maximum bid system won't let so I will lose item  keeps telling me to increase bid but when I do a message tells me I can't thanks.

Hi, you may have reached your bid limit.  New and occasional buyers are given limits to try and prevent inexperienced members getting too deep and ending up with more items to pay for than they can afford.  Included in the limit and treated as 'unpaid' are:-

All items won but not yet paid for

All outstanding bids on auctions even if not the high bidder - you can still win if someone's bid is retracted or cancelled.  This also applies to open 'best offers'.

All recently cancelled transactions.

As you build up a good track record for responsible buying, eBay will ease the limit and then finally lift it completely.
