I've just sold an item for £5, collection only.
Ebay sent me £4.06, having taken 64p in final value fees and 30p for the managed payment to my bank account.
The buyer can't collect and asked for refund. When I refunded her the £5, Ebay refunded the 64p final value but took £4.36 from my bank account, so I'm down the 30p managed payment fee. If I'd been thinking straight, I would have only refunded £4.70, but I don't know if Ebay would then pro-rata the final value fee..
If I'd done this transaction through Paypal, would they have refunded all their fees or would I still be down the transaction fee ?
