I have to avoid this following an experience this past week.
I often make an offer, a reasonable one and an answer has always come back straight away but in this case (camera lens £499 plus) I made an offer and heard nothing at all.
Did some seaching and eventually I am told I have to wait over 30 hours for an answer. How ridiculous is that?
In that time I could be looking for a different deal and ebay dont like me cancelling an offer, they want a tick against one of several reasons. In other words I was tied to an offer and coildnt bid on anything else.
On top of that the seller said he would not answer any questions on Make an Offer when I tried to ask if I could cancel and do Buy it Now instead.
Gave up and bought elswhere.
