MC113 I have no idea why my account has been suspended

Hi

Checking emails and on june 3rd i saw my account was suspended, Thinking this was a con email i logged into ebay and i have the message in my messages so its legit.

I have no idea why few days before i got this email i bought a tv remote £4.30 "checkout as guest" as i been doing regularly on cheap items - no probs and pleased with item.

Iv never disputed items or had items go missing in many many years of using ebay, im not a seller either so im quite puzzled to why this has happened, I also dont own multiple accounts. Message from ebay does not say what i actually done so im scratching my head.

I would like to know why this has happened as i said ebay is handy for them little item fixes,

If you do not sell on eBay I see you have had a long break from using your account as a buyer,  so when there is sudden activity ,  it raises red flags to eBay,   as many dormant accounts are hijacked.  .  I answer many questions daily,   from members with compromsied accounts.

I'm sure you just need to verify you are still the account holder to open up your account.

Type  into the bar in the Help & Contact bar above  Account Verification....   follow prompts to Call Us and scroll around for the Live Chat option.  Phone lines are down presently.,  

Answer some security questions correctly,  that will set you on your way.

"as a Guest " does not appear on your account, so that apart from this your account appears to have been inactive for some months.

As so any inactive accounts have been hacked I suspect that tressygirl has hit the nail on the head, and your accounct has been blocked just in case.

As already said, why have an account and then not use it, lack of activity and feedback gives the appearance of being inactive.

You have been a member for many years and many of the hacked accounts I was looking at earlier fall in this category, with no transactions or feedback for many months.

MC113 is a very broad code covering all sorts of things, it is very hard to pin point the reason , even if it's your account. 

Out of interest, why buy as a guest when you have an account?  That might just have something to do with it.

lazy i don't remember my ebay pass = Buy it now > check out as guest > paypal (i do remember this pass use it frequent).
dont keep passwords on my pc and is saves plugging in mem stick with them on.

+Even did it last night on John Lewis, have old account with them to. just a handy option for me.

By buying as a guest you removed your ability to use the ebay money back guarantee, that's only available when you buy as a member.
