I sold an item 9 days ago for £150. I have requested payment and also offered to cancel the sale, at the buyer's request, if he has changed his mind and no longer wants the item. He has replied to my messages twice, promising to pay. He still hasn't paid.
Can I simply cancel the transaction or should I open an unpaid dispute? I am worried that he might end up giving me bad feedback, although I have been very patient.
I would complete an Unpaid Item case. if you enable ebay's auto Unpaid Item Assistant the buyer is blockd from leaving f/b immediately. Whereas if you do it manually they can leave neg f/b until it's closed, although ebay would probably remove it if asked.
