Keep getting asked to verify authentication before i can pay for an item

I'm sick of getting asked to authenticate my Paypal account before i can pay for something i have bought...three times in the last week it has asked me now to do it.....just why does it suddenly keep asking me to do this after years of not doing...its so annoying!

Is for your own Security. Plus PayPal is soon to be a separate Enterprise to Ebay. They won't be linked for much longer. Is in everyone's interests that they require authenticity.
