JBL ONBEAT XTREME - MISSING IR REMOTE CONTROLER

On the 24 of March, 2016 I bought a JBL ONBEAT XTREME and resigned myself to the fact that this was 'pre-owned' after closer scrutiny on the website.  Being my first ebay purchase I nonetheless asked the seller to be sure that the IR REMOTE CONTROLLER be included.

To this I have still not recieved even aknowlegement of receipt.

The item was recieved on 22 April, 2016 and on opening the box found the IR REMOTE CONTROLLER MISSING.  The item was also found to be faulty.  The docking arm (for the iPod) was missing 3 or 4 copper pins and not 'seeing' the iPod.  Fortunately I had an old ONBEAT unit with a blown speaker from which I was able to 'harvest' the docking arm and replace the faulty one delieved.

I contacted the seller again via his apparent email and asked again for the IR REMOTE CONTROLLER and again to date there has been no reply / response.

I tried all settings to no avail.  To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement.  I know the product well and was also rather displeased to note that the remote controller was not in the box.

What, if anything, should I be trying / testing to ‘get what I was expecting’?
