Item not paid for but selling fee is due

I had an item which a buyer choose to buy and then the next day changed their mind. I never received payment. Now I am being asked to pay the fees for an item that it marked as sold but wasn't. 

How can I can I get the fee cancelled?

When you have a non payer then ebay send messages reminding them and after 4 full days you or ebay can cancel to get your fees back.

Did that happen?.

YOu should be able to see all details if you go to the seller hub and check under Payments

Ebay charge the fees straight away to your account so you may see if as on your account but they get refunded when the non payment is cancelled

Hi,

The non payer did not pay, I don’t know if they were chased. The buyer emailed me and told me he had changed his mind so I didn’t chase. Now I’m being chased for a seller fee for an item that was not sold. I can’t find a way to get Ebay to understand that the item was NOT actually sold and definitely NOT paid for so no fees are due.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please read my reply again. If you have a NON payer then you do the non payment function to get your fees back. It was Sold they just did not pay. As soon as an item sells ebay charge their fees. Did you read my reply and check the seller hub to see what it says.?. SEe the link to the ebay non payment function and how it works. It is up to you to deal with it . Hi,

I have checked the seller hub but couldn’t see any information regarding a payment or fees. I have cancelled the item. The card I had on the account had expired so the fees have not been charged but I have been chased to resolve this. I will assume that as I have now cancelled the item that the request for fees will be dropped.

I cant see your account as are members like yourself but it is there somewhere. It will tell you what charges and refunds you have. Try the section Account Summary. All charges and refunds are on your account you do have to look around.What did it say when you cancelled it. It usually says something like My buyer did not pay. If it was then you get your fees back. If you have been told you owe fees you have to pay fees. Ebay do come after them.
