Hi ,
I bought an item that I realised too late it's damaged. The seller didn't mention it's damaged (it's a figurine with a part missing) . ~Seller posted a picture but never mentioned the damage. I didn't realise after I bought it. Item hasn't even arrived yet.
Can I ask for a partial refund? Surely the seller should have mentioned the item was damaged, not just posting a photo , it's not really obvious it's broken by looking at the picture.
The photo is part of the description but you are right they should have made it clear on the description in writing.
You could contact them and ask them to cancel if they have not yet posted it.
If they have then you will just have to wait until you receive it
If it was on the photo then really the item is as described
You can ask for a partial refund but the seller does not have to do that
You should request a return where you would pay the return postage but if the seller has No returns on the listing then they dont have to accept it back
If it were not as described then you
open a not as described dispute at the bottom of the page under Resolution Centre.
Escalate it after a full 3 days of opening the dispute.
The seller needs to send a pre paid label for the return.
If they dont then ebay should when you escalate the dispute.
Make sure it goes back tracked and that the tracking is in the dispute.
You have 30 days from the day of delivery to open a dispute in ebay

maybe the seller didn't know there was supposed to be another part to it,
the picture forms part of the description,
you saw what you were purchasing
