If you went over the 7 day deadline for picking your item up, after being notified that it was in store, then the store will not keep it for you.
They then have the choice of sending it back to the seller, giving it to charity or indeed if they wish to destroy it. The latter two options are generally the chosen ones used.
Did you definitely receive and take the code with you, perhaps worth trying again on Monday ? If not , you can try and open a case for item not received in the Resolution Centre, but be aware, if the seller has a valid tracking number showing that it did arrive at the store you will not win a refund through the case.
You would then be left with calling eBay CS from the Help & Contact tab above, giving details of the email 's date and code received and when you went to the store. Now, no guarantees here, as I have heard different answers from members either winning, or being refused a refund point blank.
This Click & Cllect is fraught with problems, dreadful system. @freddiemuppet
