Why, oh why does ebay allow ebayers to state the location of an item in UK somewhere, whereas, it's actually being posted from China???? Not only is ebay giving out misinformation but it takes at least two weeks to arrive, if at all. I've canceled so many items this past while as they simply haven't arrived or are taking way too long to do so. Extreemely bad practice.
EBay does not "allow" sellers to do this.
If an item is misrepresented as being located in the UK, but is actually send from China, this is reportable to eBay using the reporting link provided in every listing (far right, opposite Postage and Payments).
Report Category: Select 'listing practices'.
Reason for Report: Select 'other listing practices policy violations'
Detailed Reason: select 'Item location misrepresentation'
Bear in mind that many sellers in China have a distribution base in the UK, which allows them to list items as UK stock. What they must not do is list items as being UK stock, and then deliver the item from China.
Bear in mind that eBay is now collecting 20% VAT for HMRC on many items sold by selelrs in China, even when the item itself is listed as UK stock.
