Hi!
I bought this item today and of course, immediately paid for it. That was done for sure as the money went out of my account.
Then the seller immediately messaged me saying the item has a defective part and telling me to request a refund.
I replied saying that they should send me a partial refund for the part and send the item as he would normally do.
After that, they kept messaging me saying that they didn't receive the payment blaming eBay and PayPal and their "new payment policy" for it. Again telling me to request a refund. Although if the seller did not receive the payment how can he refund me, that is absurd.
After a couple of minutes, he initiated a request/case where he wants to cancel the transaction.
To me is quite clear that the seller does not want to send the item I won the bid and paid for probably because it did sell for less than expected and after "making excuses didn't work" they filed a case.
I wonder what is the course of action I should engage in this case?
You cant force them to send it and neither can ebay.
It is possible they are on the ebay managed payments now and do not understand how it works.
Ebay now take the payment and take off the fees then pay the remainder to the sellers bank account. This can take several days..
You dont have to accept the cancellation
If you have not recieved your item and it is past the latest estimated day of delivery on the item description then open a not recieved dispute one day after the latest estimated day of delivery on the listing.
You can do that one day after the latest estimtaed day of delivery on the listing and do it at the bottom of the page under Resolution Centre
Escalate it too ebay after 3 full days
You have 30 days from the latest estimated day of delivery on the item description to open a dispute
Once you have your money back then you can leave feedback
Be careful what you say and dont mention ebay or dispute of the seller may be able to get it removed Just something like did not honour sale
Thanks for those instructions. I never encountered anything like this and I never imagined they would do such a thing.
So I should just wait for time to pass and I suppose there is no point in messaging the seller or give them an answer anymore or anything else.. They just won't send it.
Is it possible to have them and their account sanctioned for this in the end?
