Is there now no way to talk to a person if you need ebay help?

i cant find any way or gateway /info to call an operator.

You cannot genreally call eBay.  It is rarely needed as there are many tools on the  website to solve problems. 

If you ask here you may get quick guidance. 

Otherwise "help and contact" at top of most pages.  Search something relevant and you will usually get "have us call you" or "live chat".   You need to establish that the agent understands what the problem is.  They sometimes miss the nuance of waht you are askings and provide answer to some other problem

you have to use the Help & Contact  link

then drill down through the layers (there are several)

until you reach the 'contact us' link

click on contact us and another box opens,

choose more options and you'll get the option to talk to a human

or

you could just tell us your problem and we will try to help you
