I have had a situation today where i have been charged a fee, plus tax on top of normal fees and tax to send something within the UK. The address i have to send to is a london registered postal address, but because the buyer is APPARENTLY registered in Australia ( i cannot see this on their ebay account) i have to pay international fees and taxes. Surely this is wrong!
International Fee
While the address that you will post to is in the UK, the payment I assume came from outside the UK, although if you have Blocked Australia I can't see how they got round the block.
While I will post outside the UK, I did recently have a bid from a Japanese Company based at Heathrow, who bid for Japanese buyers, but purchase is posted to the Company.
Perhaps something similar exists for Australian Buyers.
Thank you. Very strange how they managed to order and get round it
I have triple checked and there is no signs that they are registered in Australia, but only the UK. So surely if your a UK based seller sending to a UK address then you should NOT be charged an overseas fee and tax, it defeats the object of specifically not wanting to ship abroad
I think this needs to be addressed as a lot of seller's will end up with fee's they do not realise they have had, or do not want
all the best
