Hi,4 months ago,I bought a battery, starter charger kit,sealey,£185, of eBay,it is now faulty, have contacted the seller, they have informed me that, you only get 3 months, to return it and get a refund,I can send it back to them,so they can check it, repair or replace, was told it's eBay policy, regarding the 3 months,is this correct, thanks
Yes, ebay's deadline is only 30 days. Paypal's is longer at 180 days but it's still for "not as described" items rather than warranties. If you used your credit card you could give them a ring and see if they can help.
No
You have 30 days to open a not as described on ebay
Ebay and paypal money back guarantees are for items that are not as described when they arrive
and not a warranty.
Any warranty is between you and the seller.
If they are business in the UK then contact Citizens Advice for their help.
If overseas or a private seller then there is nothing you can do.
See the bottom of the page on the link where it says
Ebay Money Back Guarantee is not a product warranty
