Import charges to EU country before 1 July 2021

Hello. 

I am wondering if EU buyers have to pay import charges for goods from UK seller at the moment. 

I found an article on new legitation taking effect on 1 July 2021 but nothing on the current obligations.

VAT on items above a certain level apparantly. Think it might be 22 Euros.

If any VAT is payable Ebay add to invoice and collects for the appripriate Tax Authorities.

All seems rather unnecessarily complicated, as VAT in the EU is not the same in all Countries.
