Why am i being Charged for Buy it now fees when items did not sell.
My First item sold for £65 charged £6.50 plus £0.50 for buy it now.
Had 3 other items with buy it now but they never sold after 1 week then i removed them from buy it now and listed again.
Just received my first invoice and i am being billed a total of £8.50 = £7 for sold item and 3 extra £0.50ps for each of the unsold items that where on buy it now.
They should not be chargng when items did not sell.
Am correct that they are also chargng me for Final Value Fee on Shipping £0.50 from my £5 postage charge.
My cash transfered to Paypal . My £65.00 + £5.00 postage total £70.00 magicly was reduced to £67 if that was not bad enough **bleep**
One other thing i remember seeing a promotion when listing my items that i would only be charged a total of £3.00 for any item sold as i was new why did i not receive this deal.
My first month on EBAY has not been good.
Thought i sold my first item the 1st week only to be told that the buyer just joined ebay that day he bid and won my goods with 0 feedback and then left Ebay the same day without paying me. the goods are still showng as sold in my account but i did get a credit for the cost.
The second week my account was hacked and 2 items where bought by 2 different people and payed for via my Bank card.
**bleep** then a £0.99 pink tablet box.
NOT PAYNG FOR BUT IT NOW FEES THAT NEVER SOLD.
I have Not received a penny yet. Paypal got payed / Ebay invoiced
**bleep**
Sorry for going on and on. Has anyone had these problems and can they help me.
Cheers.
Buy Now are listing upgrades.....that means there are charges for adding them to Auction style listings
The fees for these are clearly available on eBay & are actually displaye BEFORE you click to "LIST WITH DISPLAYED FEES"
Upgrades are advertising fees & charged as soon as the listing goes live & are payable sale or no sale......even if you later delete them !!
As for promotional offers.....these must be accepted BEFORE you list an item, only apply when first listed & must meet the T&C of the promotion
• While for the most part listing items for sale on eBay is free.....selling is not !!
•
• When an item sells you pay fees to two companies :
•
• First is Paypal who charge a fee of 3.4% + 20p (or 3.9% + 20p for international sales) per transaction for administration of the transfer of funds, banking & card charges. These fees are nothing to do with eBay & would be charged to receive any payment for Goods & Services into Paypal (including Facebook, Gumtree, Shpock etc)
•
• This fee is taken before you receive the funds for the sale as a balance in your account
•
• Second is eBay
•
• You will receive a monthly bill for eBay sales commission (Final Value Fee) which is charged at 10% of the sale price INCLUDING P&P
•
• This fee will appear split on your invoice as the fee on the item price is charged immediately the listing ends, however the fee on the P&P is only charged after the buyer has paid......this is because they may have arranged to collect, to have a premium service or possibly if they bought multiple items they may have been entitled to a postal discount......
•
• This fee will also additionally include any listing fees including those for optional upgrades such as reserves, buy now etc
•
• These fees will appear on your Paypal of bank account as "eBay Europe Sarl" or "eBayUKLimited"
• Details of fees here : http://sellercentre.ebay.co.uk/private/what-fees-youll-pay
•
• In addition, if you use eBay's SHUTL service to print & post your items then this charge will appear with your monthly eBay charges under "eBay SHUTL".....this is because these charges are no longer made at the time of printing, they are only made after the label has actually been used by the courier service & is billed once a month. You are not charged where you print a label & then do not use that courier service
As for the system if a buyer doers not pay
• If an item has not been paid for 48 hours after the listing ended then you can open an unpaid case here http://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/ (you have up to 32 days to do this if you wish to allow the buyer longer to pay but 2 days is the earliest)
•
• After opening the case if payment has still not been received after 4 more full days then return to the case & close as unpaid to request a fee credit
•
• Once a case has been closed you can then relist or make a second chance offer to the underbidder
•
• Once an unpaid case has been opened the transaction cannot be cancelled, only closing the case after 4 days will do this
•
• You should not simply cancel a transaction as it may leave you with fees to pay & a selling defect
•
• When a case has been closed in your favour as the seller then the buyer receives a damaging unpaid strike against their account & NEITHER of you may leave feedback
•
• Details here

You should really have investigated all these things & read the T&C and fees & charges of the site BEFORE you listed your first item.......you would then have known what to expect & may have been less stressed
First, the Buy it now was just an option on my items but the items did not sell so i removed it. No fee should be charged period.
if i am charged, remove everything about me from Ebay cancel my account remove my items.
Second,How in the world does Ebay think they can charge me for my postage fee.
Third, who brain washed you, was the Ebay rule book the first book for you.
Where in the rules does it state when you join ebay it will be very easy for strangers to hack your account and buy sexual toys with the cash from your own bank account.
Talktalk gave out compensation when there security was not strong enough and members accounts were hacked.
Ebay want to delete the message and hide this information.
