Two days ago I received a text from eBay telling me that the money I make on eBay will no longer be going into PayPal account but will be going straight into my bank they’ve asked me for my bank number so could you please confirm this is it a scam or is this a new thing that is happening

No not a SCAM is Ebay's New Payment system. They have separated from PayPal. All Sellers are gradually being moved onto Management Payments.
