I overcharged postage to a Buyer

Hi - I calculated an item @ £3 for p&p of a 2nd class Small Parcel, but the P/Office said it could go as large letter @ £1.58, because I'd packed it so well. I asked for it to still go at £2.90, but was told they'd be fined if they did so.

I want to refund the Buyer £1.42, but altho' paypal will do the refund, Ebay still charges their 10% on invoice price. This all means that I'd lose 20p. Any suggestions how to handle this please? Thanks

Refund the difference minus the fee or the whole amount of the postage difference and lose the 20 p

The choice is yours

You are allowed to charge a little for packing so perhaps the buyer would be pleased to get any of the postage back

You can do that by going to the original payment in paypal and there is a refund link

Put in how much you want to refund check to make sure it is correct before Send
