I have been sold a pair of fake Birkenstocks.

Hello!

I was sold a pair of fake Birkenstock sandals 6 months ago on ebay and I have only noticed recently because they have started to degrade substancially. After looking at them closely they are clearly fake/counterfeit. Is there anything that i can do, given the passage of time since purchacing the item?

(i can upload photographs of the item on request but after comparing them in the shop and confirming with retail assistants, they are clearly not authentic.) 😞

Obviously you are out of time to do anything through Ebay. If a UK Business Seller you can Report them to Trading Standards. I would also Report the Seller to Birkenstock.
