I purchased an Item; the seller blames the courier; the courier says it was delivered but they only shows proof of delivery to the seller or ebay. Ebay then says that they wont refund and they closed the case "
After reviewing your appeal, we won't be able to change the outcome of the case." So I ended with no money and no product. Is there anything I can do?
Thanks
It is one of the problem of ebay and one where I can see no future resolution.
If a buyer opens a case then the selelr has only got to enter the tracking showing delivery to win the case. It's all automatic. The seller puts in the tracing into the case; what good would it do to send it to you - if that is what you imply.
In all my many years on eBay I have never had a purchase go astray. I tend to avaoid sellers who do not use Royal Mail
Now that the eBay case is closed, if you paid by PayPal you could try opening a new case under their 180 day buyer protection policy, see: https://www.paypal.com/uk/smarthelp/article/what-if-i-didn%27t-receive-my-item-or-it%27s-not-as-adve...
Everything will hinge upon exactly what the tracking states. EBay requires tracking proof of successful delivery to the buyer's address. PayPal requires broadly the same. It's hard to offer any advice in this case, as it isn't clear how the tracking record can show delivery to the seller, or eBay. Unless perhaps the item was returned to the sender, which would obviously not be successful delivery to the buyer. This would normally qualify for a refund, unless the buyer refused to accept delivery.
Is there possibly more to this dispute that you have mentioned?
