I Need Technical Advice For Bass Guitar. I am using a MusicMan type Pickup!

A bass came fitted with a pair of MM Type pick ups. One of them stopped working so I am fitting a 'Armoth' MM type pickup but find although the 5 wires are the same cdolours. They are soldered in a different way.

The original was Red/White together. Earth Shield & Greem together and Black as Hot Lead!

 

Warmoth sends their pick ups out: Re / Whiye together. Balck Shield together Green Hot

 

Qarmoth seems more logical although my original Yamaha worked fine,

 

PLease give you your advice and experience. I am a hobbyist pensioner needing help. I have limited experience .
