A potential buyer sent me a message, via Ebay, that they wanted to view item before buying.I replied, via Ebay, gave buyer my address, buyer came and viewed item,we agreed a price,he paid and took item away.I told buyer when they get home to press Buy It Now.
Buyer did not press Buy It Now.
I don't want to End Item as it will look like I have dealt outside of Ebay.So how can I mark this item as sold, collected and paid for?
You cannot.....so you have indeed sold outside eBay
It is a serious eBay policy breach to give your address details before a purchase is completed...........VIEWING BEFORE PURCHASE is not permitted on eBay
When the bots pick up the address exchange in messaging you will face eBay sanction
You should not have sold it until the buyer bought the item
You are right if you end the item then ebay will think you have done an off ebay deal which you have
You can be suspended or restricted for that as it is strictly against ebay policy and fee avoidance
They may also charge the final value fees anyway
If you leave it and someone buys it then you have a problem as you would have no item to sell
Ebay rules are quite clear on this and we all recieved an email about it
Ebay are taking strong steps to stop off ebay sales
If you have tried to exchange any contact details with another member before buying the item then ebay will restrict or suspend you.
They sent an email to all members on 22nd Sept Changes to the user agreement
It will be in your ebay Messages tab on your My ebay for you to read
