How many missing items do you get with Royal Mail?

Hi,

lately the situation is getting crazy for me 

Most days I get msgs of missing items  and having to stomach the cost 

it's really starting to get to me as it cannot go on 

is it just me? Also what is the general "lost rate"

I think that you would be better taking this up with Royal Mail. By letter [they are good with them] to Customer Service Royal Mail Freepost Plymouth

As a buyer I have been on eBay since dinosaurs raomed the earth.  During that time [and I would have bought a thousand or more items] I have never had one single item fail to be delivered and only one item that I had to query.  That was where a seller who advertised "post free" had thought that meant "no stamps"!   I paid the excess and it was delivered about 2 weeks late.   Undeliverable post goes to Belfast to be investigated.

Even during the last year everything that I bought has arrived and arrived within eBay's time frame and most within 24 or 48 hours as indicated on the labels.

You would have to consider "where does all this missing mail go?". It's pretty unlikely [though it happens] that postal staff are mass-stealing. 

I worked - years ago - for the Post Office [as was] and even then there were very heavy security measures in place.  The offices had to be cleared daily.  The bags were all searched and blown through.  

If post is misdelivered surely the recipient would give it back to postman.  Does anyone want random items.  I fear there are some who lie about non-receipt and that is a hazard when non-tracked/non-16 digit items are concerned.
