Hi, I bought an item on ebay and it says on the description that it was in 'mint condition'. But when it arrived, it was nothing but mint. It was full of scratches like its been cleaned with a brush or sand paper. So I initiated a refund from ebay. The seller was cooperative and agreed to refund me the money and pay for the return shipping label. This is what I got on my messages from ebay 6 days ago: "Your refund is being processed. The seller has initiated a refund of $303.98 to your original payment method and it should clear within 3 to 5 business days." It's been 6 days now and no refund yet and no return shipping label. Should I buy my own shipping laber and send the item first before I get a refund or what? I can't find any phone number for ebay to call. Please help! Thanks.
While the answer will no doubt be similar, this is the UK Answer Centre and you need to log out and back into ebay.com
If done properly you have to return to the seller at their expense before you can expect a refund. No seller should start a refund unless item has been returned, as there would be no incentive for buyer to return.
